So I have now been home for two weeks. In self quarantine and now everyone is in “stay and shelter” ordinance. The president has just announced we will continue this through April 30th. We will not be getting back to normal life anytime soon.
I am learning to teach my students remotely and via the internet. I soon will be learning to make music with others and collaborate in a whole new way. I will be able to make some few funky grooves. There are lots of changes for everyone.
THIS is what I notice. The Lord is wanting our attention. This land is a promised land. We will be protected and prosperous if we remain faithful and true to God. God will preserve this people except it be for our transgression. I guess we have fallen to far below the bar, because this pandemic has come to America too.
This is a time when we are all slowed way down. The clutter has been cut out of our life. Last October in general conference, many of the speakers, the prophet included, spoke about removing the unnecessary out of our lives. President Nelson also said the conference in April was going to be a memorable conference. Sure enough. In the last 190 year, Latter day Saints have been gathering for world wide conferences. This conference will be the first, when no one can attend and only those speaking will be gathering and it will be broadcast over the internet.
Not only that, last year the prophet and president of the church was directed by the lord to start a new home centered, church supported gospel study plan called come follow me. We have cut out one hour of church and families now spend one hour together on Sundays to study the gospel.
When it was announced that we would not be able to attend church due to COVID-19, it did not disrupt our flow. We have been practicing having church at home for over a year.
Yes, the lord prepares his people. The Prophets are always right.
So More is coming. The Lord is wanting to speak with us. And now is a great time of stillness in the world to get back in touch with God. If we do not listen when he speaks quietly, the he will speak and teach with tornados earthquakes, hurricanes floods, plagues and illnesses.
It is past time for me to get ready with my food storage. I feel like this is a big fat wake up call from the Lord. No one is going to escape the suffering. The question is, will I be prepared when it comes?
I can hardly know the direction this will all take. I do know that I must rely upon the Lord to show me the next steps in how to become more self-reliant. I need to know what he would have me to do to increase my online presence and how to life up and engage others for good.
No one is making money now but artist are creating. And one day we are making a bunch of records, and these will get played and toured.
Life will never be the same again. Every coping mechanism that we engage now will become a habit of the new future. This is what we have to look forward to.
The Lord will return. I am grateful for the great peace I feel amongst all this turmult. I am not worried. I am not stressed. I know the Lord will take care of me. I have great peace. In fact I have such gratitude that I am a member of Gods restored Gospel, indeed a covenant daughter in Isreal. If I am faithful and endure till the end I will be saved into this everlasting kingdom just as sure as the Lord lives. And he does.
